'10. Range'

$7,000.00

No. 10 in the Light Coming in Through Cracks Series, 2018-2021.

Un-manipulated, naturally-oxidized (rusted), used/discarded metal Found Object—a piece of wire, on painted salvaged cotton sailcloth with cotton and synthetic wool on plywood. 24” x 24” x 2.5”.

I love this one. I love them all and picking a favorite would be like picking a favorite child, but special meaning goes out to this one. The object in it was one of my first found pieces. I had it on a glass shelf on my old apartment, along with a bunch of other found objects. Whenever anyone came over they’d stare at all my pieces and say, “cool.” That’s when I knew I was on to something. Jokes aside, if all my pieces are simple, this one is über simple. So clean and crisp it reminds me of fresh mountain air. Plus, it looks like a Rocky mountain range. That’s what I see. What do you see? Leave feedback.
