No. 6 in the Light Coming in Through Cracks Series, 2018-2021.
Un-manipulated, naturally-oxidized (rusted), used/discarded metal Found Object, on painted salvaged cotton sailcloth with cotton and synthetic wool on plywood. 24” x 24” x 2.5”.
My favorite part of this found object is the lower right quarter. I love how it comes out like that. Like it got a little too ahead of itself, could no longer contain it’s zeal. My second favorite part of this piece is where, still on the lower half but a little bit up, the four wires comes out in perfect symmetry, earning this piece it’s name. My third favorite part of this rusty wire object is the top, where it twists together due to it’s incredible built-in handle. I love the symmetry of this piece. Leave feedback.
